The Exhibition
The exhibition on the work of Bruno De Angelis, with critical texts by Roberto Pagnani and Patrizia Pizzirani in the catalogue, consists of a series of sculptures, both for walls and pedestals, made up of different materials which make their meaning extremely interesting. The artist intimately recounts the relationship of the lovers, in all the complexity of the relationship, even in the moment of incommunicability within the couple. The loneliness of the lovers is evident from the different materials that he chooses to use. Metal and cardboard, seemingly irreconcilable in sculpture, amplify this duality.

The Artist
Bruno De Angelis was born in Ripatransone (AP) on February 22, 1953. He studied at the Art School and the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna. He taught at the Art School and the Art Institute of Bologna from 1972 to 2015. He lives and works in Bologna.
In addition to numerous group exhibitions in Italy, from 1982 to 2022 he exhibited in solo exhibitions at the Il Luogo di Gauss Gallery in Milan, the Unimedia Gallery in Genoa, the Andata/Ritorno Gallery in Geneva, the FaroArte Gallery in Marina di Ravenna (RA), the drawing room of L. A. Muratori in Vignola (MO), the Carbone Gallery in Ferrara, the Legislative Assembly of the Emilia-Romagna Region in Bologna.
